Hyderabad: Heavy rainfall has been forecast for Telangana state and coastal AP in the next three days. A fresh cyclonic circulation has developed in the northwest Bay of Bengal which is expected to lead to rainfall in the two states.

Interestingly, most of the weather systems in July and August formed in the north-central Bay of Bengal. They are now forming in the western part of the sea. The local weather bureau said the cyclonic system was moving westwards and would cross the coast. It would cause rainfall in most parts of coastal AP and all over Telangana state.

Telangana is facing a shorfall of seven per cent in rains so far this month. Coastal AP and Rayalaseema have received above normal rainfall. The circulation will give moderate to heavy rain in coastal AP during the next 24 hours.
