Telangana: Transport remained majorly unaffected by Bharat bandh
The protesters have chosen mainly petrol bunks to stage their protest and stop services.
Hyderabad: The Bandh does not seem to have affected the transportation and commuters did not face trouble on the day of Bharat bandh. Even though certain transport unions declared that their services would be halted, RTC and Metro services came to the rescue of the common man. Both buses and Metros were crowded and many cab services were also running normally as Four Wheeler Associations decided to protest with black badges.
However, there were traffic congestions at certain areas in the city, where opposition parties conducted rasta roko for the ever increasing fuel prices. The protesters have chosen mainly petrol bunks to stage their protest and stop services.
Most of the left party activists were arrested by the police as a preventive measure. Opposition parties also stopped bus services at some RTC depots in the city and the districts. Even though most of the petrol bunks were running throughout the day, some were forced to shut down because of the protests.
