Andhra Pradesh CM holds prayers at Tirupati for Jaya's recovery
Jayalalithaa (68) was admitted to the Apollo hospital on September 22 after she complained of fever and dehydration.
Chennai: The AIADMK on Wednesday said Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has held prayers at Tirupati temple for complete recovery of his Tamil Nadu counterpart Jayalalithaa.
The party's official Twitter handle, @AIADMKofficial, said Naidu had sent 'prasadam' from Lord Venkateshwara temple at Tirumala Tirupati to Apollo hospital, where Jayalalithaa has been admitted.
"Chandrababu Naidu held prayers at Tirupati temple for complete recovery of Chief Minister (Jayalalithaa). The Andhra CM sent the prasadam to Apollo Hospital," the tweet in Tamil read.
Jayalalithaa (68) was admitted to the Apollo hospital on September 22 after she complained of fever and dehydration.
The hospital authorities had yesterday said Jayalalithaa continued to be under treatment and was being constantly monitored by intensivists and other consultants in the expert panel, while respiratory support, antibiotics, nutrition, supportive therapy and passive physiotherapy were being given to her.
