Prove your allegations or remain silent: Congress to Parrikar on dalali remark
The Congress was responding to Manohar Parrikar's statement on Rahul Gandhi's 'Khoon ki Dalali' remark against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
New Delhi: Coming down heavily on Manohar Parrikar for alleging the UPA regime indulged in dalali in the helicopters and submarines deal, the Congress Party on Tuesday dared the Defence Minister to take the party to the court if he has sufficient evidence to implicate them.
"If dalali happened, then take action against us. He said that under the UPA regime 1.76 lakh crore dalai happened, if it is true, then file FIR against us, mere words won't suffice. I agree that he has paid the media that is why no one is questioning him. The government cannot make baseless allegations, it's their duty is to provide proof. If he has, then take us to the court, otherwise keep quiet," Congress leader Sandeep Dikshit told ANI.
Highlighting scams under the UPA regime, Parrikar said "There was dalali in 2006, when submarines deal took place. There was Dalali also in the helicopter deal."
Parrikar was responding to Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi's 'Khoon ki Dalali' remark against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
"You are hiding behind the blood of soldiers in Jammu and Kashmir and those who carried out the surgical strikes for India. You are exploiting their sacrifices, which is wrong," Rahul said of Modi.
