Tribal woman delivers baby in tractor in Odisha

The Yojana which aims to carry pregnant women to local hospitals couldn't come to the aid of a pregnant woman on time.

BHUBANESWAR: Janani Suraksha Yojana (JSY) without good roads has failed the tribal tracts of South Odisha.

The Yojana which aims to carry pregnant women to local hospitals couldn’t come to the aid of a pregnant woman on time, due to which she delivered the child in a tractor trolley on Sunday in the remote Nabarangpur district, reports said on Monday.

A tribal woman  from Thipapani village, nearly 650 km from here, delivered a baby in a tractor as ambulance could not reach her place in time.
