Licensed gun holders must deposit weapons: Hyderabad police commissioner
The weapons may be taken back on or after December 13.
Hyderabad: All the men possessing licenced weapons in the twin cities have been asked to deposit their weapons at their concerned police stations or authorised arms dealers before October 17, said the police commissioner of Hyderabad, Anjani Kumar, adding that the notice does not apply to those those employed on guard duty by nationalised banks, public sector undertakings and security personnel.
“In the interest of public peace and tranquility, all the holders of Arms Licences residing in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad, except those employed on guard duty in the premises of nationalised banks, PSUs and security personnel in Hyderabad, shall deposit their weapons with concerned police stations or with authorised arms dealers. The weapons may be taken back on or after December 13.
