However, they woke up on Monday morning with symptoms of vomiting and stomach ache, consistent with food poisoning.

The youngsters got admitted to KGH Hospital on Monday. However, they opted to discharge themselves in the evening against medical advice. But when their condition turned worse, they sought medical care at St. Ann’s Hospital in Malkapuram.

As of Tuesday, nine of the affected individuals have been discharged from the hospital after receiving treatment. Four others are continuing to be under medical care.

Head of medicine at KGH Dr. Radhakrishnan told Deccan Chronicle that the patients had arrived at the hospital on Monday morning with symptoms of fever, vomiting, and nausea. When their condition stabilised, they discharged themselves in the evening against medical advice, he underlined.
