Land prices shoot up in Kamareddy town
A section of realtors from Kamareddy has spread their business to Siddipet, Sircilla, Zaheerabad towns in neighbouring districts.
Kamareddy: Cost of land in Kamareddy town is higher compared to other towns because real estate groups managed to create artificial demand in the newly-formed district. House rents, however, are low in this municipal town. Realtors hiked the prices of agriculture lands surrounding areas of Kamareddy. Speaking to this correspondent, Rajulu, a businessman, said that agriculture land price per acre has crossed Rs 1 crore on the National Highway 44. Due to proximity to Hyderabad, an industrial corridor is also being developed in Kamareddy district, he explained.
There is demand for lands as no owner is ready to sell it, he said. On railway station road, the rate per square yard for land is around Rs 1.10 lakh to Rs 2 lakh. Interested groups are eagerly searching for commercial spaces but there is no land available in the town.
