Visvesvaraya Technological University puts off exams fourth time
For students hailing from other states, it is an even bigger problem as they have to even cancel and rebook their tickets.
BENGALURU: For the fourth time in a month the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) has rescheduled its examinations and the students are annoyed that they have to constantly rearrange their preparations.
For students hailing from other states, it is an even bigger problem as they have to even cancel and rebook their tickets.
“We are frustrated. This is too much to take. I don't know why VTU does this. We prepare for one date and it keeps on getting postponed,” said Abhignan, an electronics and communication student from Sambhram Institute of Technology.
In the new time table released on Thursday, the chemistry exam for BE (Bachelors in Engineering) 2010 scheme has been postponed to December 23, Engineering physics to December 28 and basic electronics on January 1.
The Co-convener of Visvesvaraya Technological University students struggle committee, Sharan Kumar, said, “VTU is giving overlapping of papers as the reason for shuffling of dates. Why didn't they realize this when they were preparing the time table? If we ask they are questioning us only. They are simply troubling students. Many students have already booked their train and flight tickets, now they have to cancel and book again, and it's not even a one-time change"
Visvesvaraya Technological University had earlier rescheduled seven papers on November 29, 10 on November 28 and then three papers on November 24 which were majorly under BE and MBA.
Despite several attempts, Visvesvaraya Technological University registrar H.N. Jagannatha Reddy was not available for comments.
