Kollam: Braveheart's body brought to hometown

Kollam:The body of a 38-year-old man who died after rescuing his children from drowning at a beach in Abu Dhabi in UAE was brought to his hometown in Kottarakkara on Monday.
S.R. Dileepkumar of 'Vaishnavam' at Kizhakketheruvu in Kottarakkara had been abroad with his family for the last 10 years.
The incident took place on Friday morning at Al Raha beach near Abu Dhabi where the family went for an outing. Dileepkumar entered the sea along with his son Aryan, 6, and daughter Devika, 9, while his wife Lakshmi and her mother looked on. The children were caught in a huge wave and Dileepkumar rushed to their aid.

The paramedical team present at the beach gave him artificial respiration but could not save his life. He was taken to Al Raba hospital where he was declared brought dead. The doctors have inferred cardiac arrest to be the reason behind the death.
Dileepkumar was working as a health and safety manager in a construction company in Dubai. The body was kept at Sheikh Khalifa medical college mortuary and was shifted to his hometown after legal procedures.
