Tamil Nadu Govt's Pongal Gift to Transport Employees

Chennai: In recognition of the exemplary work of 1,12,675 transport corporation employees in the year 2023, the State government has announced the payment of a ‘Pongal Performance Incentive’ costing Rs 6,75,73,000 to the exchequer.

An official press release said on Thursday that Rs 625 would be paid to the staff members who worked for 200 or more days in the year 2023, while those who came for duty between 151 to 199 days would get Rs 195. For work done for 91 to 150 days, the incentive would be Rs 85.
