Hit-and-run BS Yeddyurappa at it again: Congress MP
It's their govt, their CBI, enforcement agency, why are they not taking any action against Siddaramaiah?'.
Mysuru: Dismissing the charge that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah was paying the party high command in crores to save his position, Member of Parliament R. Druvanarayan asserted on Saturday that there was no truth in the allegation made by Bharatiya Janata Party’s state unit chief B.S. Yeddyurappa.
Speaking to reporters here, he asserted the charge was baseless. “BJP leaders are known for making such hit-and-run statements,” Mr Druvanarayan said.
When it was pointed out that Mr Yeddyurapa had claimed Mr Siddaramaiah had sent the money to Delhi through his parliamentary secretary, he shot back, “If they have evidence, let them release it. It is their government, their Central Bureau of Investigation, IT and enforcement cell. Then why are they not taking action?”
Asked for his comment on Mr Yeddyurappa’s statement that he would come out with yet another bombshell against state ministers, Mr Druvanarayan said, “This is the same Yeddyurappa who said that he would release documents against three ministers a month ago, but did this happen? And this is the same person, who said the state had failed to release input subsidy to farmers suffering crop loss last year when Karnataka is the only state to have released input subsidies to 30 lakh farmers from its drought relief funds. When in the three years and eight months of this government not one minister has been involved in a scam, what moral right does the Bharatiya Janata Party have to make these allegations? Many of its ministers, who were accused of involvement in several scams, are still roaming around with bail. They should first check their own house before pointing fingers at others.”
Advising the Bharatiya Janata Party leaders to concentrate on more worthwhile issues, Mr Druvanarayan said that when karnataka was facing a severe drought, they should get more funds from the Union Government to help the state government go to the rescue of farmers .
