Rajahmundry: Telugu Desam supporters on Monday staged a stir wearing black badges on Monday to extend their solidarity with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu who took up ‘Dharma Porata Deeksha’ in New Delhi demanding that the Centre accord special category status to the state and fulfil the provisions incorporated in AP Reorganisation Act, 2014.

Party supporters garlanded the statue of Dr B.R. Ambedkar near Gokavaram Bus Stand and raised slogans against Prime Minister Narendra Modi for failing to sanction special tag and also for failing to implement AP split act.
