Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao told the Assembly that the Budget, to be presented on Monday, would lay emphasis to revival of caste-based occupations especially fishing and sheep rearing.

He said, “The government has sanctioned major chunk of funds for welfare schemes. Most schemes will be announced for the uplift of most backward class communities. Funds will allocated to distribute 88 lakh sheep to the Yadav community in two years. All caste-based professions will get importance in the Budget which will help strengthen the rural economy.”

He said the government was committed to providing one lakh jobs, as promised in 2014. “Provisions are made to fill 50,000 jobs. Already 25,000 jobs have been filled.  There is no question of going back on 1 lakh jobs. We will fulfill it by the completion of our term in 2019.”
