Drunk drivers crash vehicles, injured near Santoshnagar

The accident occurred when the car driven by Prashant was taking a left turn and Satish's bike dashed it from the front, causing injuries to both.

Hyderabad: In an accident between a bike and a car near Santoshnagar, the men driving the vehicle who were in an inebriated condition, crashed them into each other. 

The two were identified as Satish, 24, and Prashant Bharat, 24, both residents of Saroornagar, police said. 

“We are confirming if the alcohol content was beyond the permissible limit. Family members told us that Satish left his home 15 minutes before the mishap to fill petrol in his bike,” said Santoshnagar inspector P. Satish Kumar. The accident occurred when the car driven by Prashant was taking a left turn and Satish’s bike dashed it from the front, causing injuries to both. 

The two were shifted to hospital and are undergoing treatment. A case was booked under relevant sections of IPC.
