Missing US family feared washed away in floods
The news of the incident sent the relatives of the family into shock, while were efforts on to confirm what happened to the four.
Hyderabad: Latest reports relating to the Indian family missing in the US since April 5 indicated that their car might have got washed away in floods. According to the local media, a car similar to that in which Sandeep Thottapilly and family were travelling while on their way from Portland in Oregon to San Jose in California had been found from the flood waters.
Sandeep, his wife Soumya and children Siddhant and Saachi were on their way to San Jose in a maroon colour Honda Pilot car when they suddenly stopped communicating with relatives in Valencia.
William Wunderlich, California Highway Patrol Officer, said that police was still working to find whether the car was indeed the one that the family was travelling in. He said police received reports on April 6 of a vehicle collision near the Eel River.
