US willing to cooperate with India in def sector

The exclusive US pavilion is hosting the US defence manufacturing giants such as Lockheed Martin, Boeing and other 17 companies.

Chennai: “Identifying India as a major partner in defence is a major boost to the US-India relationship,” said U.S. Ambassador to India Kenneth I. Juster, at the DefExpo on Wednesday.

Inaugurating the USA partnership pavilion at the DefExpo, the Ambassador also added that the cooperation between the nations would ensure peace, prosperity and security in the Indo-Pacific region. “US president Trump and India Prime Minister Modi are taking forward the cooperation in a wider perspective,” he added.

The exclusive US pavilion is hosting the US defence manufacturing giants such as Lockheed Martin, Boeing and other 17 companies. Meanwhile, the US delegation consisting of manufactures and defence officials  said that the USA is ready to supply armaments including guns, communication devices, choppers and fighter jets to India. “The US is ready to cooperate with India in the defence sector,” the delegation expressed.
