Chennai: Caught in vortex of mobile apps
There are different apps like for entertainment, travel, food, news, books, handling depression, health, zodiac, weather and many more.
Chennai: Nowadays, there is a mobile app for everything. But, are these apps making life simpler for us, or are they merely taking over our lives, remains a mute question.
“Technology completes the need of the people. The mobile applications are to serve as a boon to the people,” says Kavita, Chennai based Mobile App developer.
“Technology itself has got down innovation to a very lower level. Making apps, adding overly advanced hardware which will remain underused, no groundbreaking innovation is happening other than mobile technology. People influence technology as we are creating these applications to satisfy our needs and we need to control the use of it,” said Atulya Venkatesh, a student.
There are different apps like for entertainment, travel, food, news, books, handling depression, health, zodiac, weather and many more. These apps attract people to explore them and get them in their trap and earn double the amount.
“Currently, I am working on supply chain management app, customer relationship management app and many more. I have created apps like 'Blood Bank' for Tamil Nadu Aids Control society, 'Future Captains' it is the first career assessment apps, which is created for Indians because most of the apps generally are made based on UK mindset. These applications in someway benefit the people,” said Kavita. Every app has a motive behind it and logic too, she insisted.
Apps for safety of women like ‘MSMR women safety app’, ‘Nirbhaya – be fearless app’; help women to travel safely and incase of emergency it connects the call to the people in the emergency contact list.
