THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A KSU leader has come up with a voting mechanism to canvass support for a new KPCC president   on the Facebook page of Congress president Rahul Gandhi.  Out of 5,000 votes received in the last two days, Mr K. Sudhakaran has received 91 percent  and Mr Mullapally Ramachandran nine percent.

The voting mode was posted by former KSU Kannur district president Sudeep James and the voting will be allowed till June 15. In fact, Mr  Rahul Gandhi’s community page on Facebook has been inundated with messages from Congress men  in the state supporting  Mr Sudhkaran and  Mr  K. Muraleedharan, MLA.   A large  number of posts have urged Mr Rahul Gandhi to save the Congress in Kerala as well.

Mr Sudeep James, a staunch follower of Mr Sudhakaran, posted the voting mode through the visitors’ post on Mr Rahul Gandhi's Facebook page on Saturday.  Mr Sudhakaran has a huge fan following on the social media where he had launched the KS brigade a few years ago. Only one vote can be cast. But if one wishes to change his or her opinion, there is an option for that too, besides one for  'undo vote.' Under the comments section, people have said that  Mr V. D. Satheesan and Mr K. Muraleedharan should also be included.  Over  1,000 comments were received.
