50 per cent acquisition completed for six-lane flyover at Uppal
GHMC and MoRTH, GOI have taken up the project for construction of flyover at Uppal.
Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation has completed 50 per cent of land acquisition required for the Uppal elevated corridor. The state government along with the Centre will construct a six-lane elevated corridor from Uppal to Narapally over 6.5 km at an estimated cost of Rs 1395.02 crore. The corporation will have to acquire 257 properties to widen the road from 80 feet to 150 feet to construct the 50 feet flyover.
The consent of 139 occupiers (59 on the left side and 80 on the right side of the road) has already been secured. Some 154 properties have been sent for structural verification and 97 properties have received structural verification.
Documents of 170 properties have been sent to the land acquisition officer for title verification, and the documents of 153 properties have already reached the land acquisition wing. The corporation has already issued cheques totalling Rs 12.09 crore for acquiring 27 properties. The GHMC is ready to demolish a Mee Seva complex, government school at Uppal bus stand and 38 properties sent for structural valuation.
