Head of Sadhu Vaswani Mission, Dada JP Vaswani dies at 99
Vaswani wrote a thesis on 'The scattering of X-Rays by Solids', which was examined by Nobel-Laureate, Dr CV Raman.
Pune: Dada JP Vaswani, the spiritual head of The Sadhu Vaswani Mission, passed away on Thursday here at the age of 99.
An acclaimed writer, humanitarian, philosopher, and educator, Vaswani excelled as a student and had obtained his Bachelor of Science degree at the age of 17. He also wrote a thesis on 'The scattering of X-Rays by Solids', which was examined by Nobel-Laureate, Dr CV Raman.
He then relinquished academics to follow the footsteps of his uncle, Sadhu TL Vaswani.
Vaswani has authored over 50 books in English and many more in the Sindhi language. He also edited three monthly journals, the Excelsior, the India Digest and the East and West series.
He was regarded as a powerful orator, having addressed eminent forums like the World Parliament of Religions in Chicago, the Global Forum of Spiritual Leaders at Kyoto, the United Nations Millennium World Peace Summit and the House of Commons in London.
