GHMC to widen stretch from Gachibowli to BHEL
An agency was commissioned to prepare a detailed project plan for the proposed road from Gachibowli to BHEL junction via the university campus.
Hyderabad: The road from Gachibowli to BHEL junction that goes past the University of Hyderabad is going to be widened to 65 metres to ease traffic congestion. The proposal was approved by the standing committee of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) on Thursday.
An agency was commissioned to prepare a detailed project plan for the proposed road from Gachibowli to BHEL junction via the university campus. Accordingly, the plans for the 65-metre wide road from Gachibowli to the Serilingampally zonal office and the 45-metre wide road from the Serilingampally zonal office to BHEL via the UoH have been prepared.
In the process of road widening, it is estimated that a total of 316 properties will be affected and will have to be acquired beforehand, according to a press release.
