MYSURU: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader K.S. Eshwarappa on Saturday dismissed Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy's move to plant paddy seedlings as a “gimmick”. Speaking to the media here, Eshwarappa said, “You first give Bagair hukum land to farmers.”   Reacting to former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's comments against him at Mysuru airport on Friday evening, he said, “Siddaramaiah says that I am not intelligent and I do not know the Constitution.

Even I can call him “hey Siddaramaiah, pedhdharamaiah”. But that is not our culture. He might have lost his mental sanity after losing elections in Chamundeswari Assembly constituency. And such a leader is all set to become a national leader. What has happened to the Congress which brought independence to this nation?”  he ridiculed.  He said, “When there is model code of conduct there have been transfers in social welfare department, police department and revenue departments. Is this constitution  Siddaramaiah?” he questioned.

He alleged, “In the name of treating guests, tax payers money has been looted during the swearing in ceremony of Mr Kumaraswamy"  On unconfirmed reports that Bharatiya Janata Party leaders would join the Janata Dal (Secular), he said, “Just wait and watch and see where  H D Revanna be next year,”  Eshwarappa remarked.
