Complaint against changing judges: Expelled students submit plea to CJ
The petition, a copy of which is with this newspaper, alleged a possible manipulation for getting the writ appeal heard by the present bench.
Kochi: Five expelled students of the Sri Sri Ravishankar Vidya Mandir has submitted a petition to the Kerala High Court chief justice seeking a probe into the change of the court hearing a writ appeal filed by the school management challenging the single bench reinstating them.
The petition, a copy of which is with this newspaper, alleged a possible manipulation for getting the writ appeal heard by the present bench.
"We strongly believe that this is part of manipulation done by school authorities to get favourable orders by illegal means,” says the petition, also sent to the President, Supreme Court Chief Justice, Prime Minister, Governor, chief minister of Kerala, Union and state law and education ministers, HC registrar and vigilance heads of HC and SC.
“We request that you may inquire with the present implement happenings of changing the court, by manipulation, we hope justice will be done for us as our future is on your hands,” says the petition signed by the students and their parents.
The said they are “out from the school for the last two and a half months” and are “unable to get admission in any other school also”.
In an interim order on August 2, an HC single bench asked the school to readmit them, but a division bench stayed the order four days later.
The division bench is scheduled to hear the case on Monday. The students were expelled following a dispute over a fee hike.
The single bench has also directed the state government to consider forming a fee regulatory authority for private schools.
