Hyderabad: Rainfall surplus goes down

The cumulative rainfall since the onset of monsoon season is 463 mm against the normal of 455.1 mm, which is two per cent surplus.

Hyderabad: The rainfall surplus has gone down to two per cent from the earlier six per cent following a few dry days, the Indian Meteorological Department said. While this is the large average, the number of districts reeling under deficit has increased to 14. Nalgonda had the highest deficit of 44 per cent.

The cumulative rainfall since the onset of monsoon season is 463 mm against the normal of 455.1 mm, which is two per cent surplus.

The city has remained cloudy in most parts and there was no rain reported in any of the localities. Some other areas received light to moderate rainfall in isolated places in Mancherial and Bhadradri-Kothagudem districts of up to 30 mm.

The forecast for the next five days as per the Indian Meteorological Department said there would be light to moderate rain or thundershowers in the isolated parts of the state.
