Guntur: 24x7 response cell for protection of NRIs
The minister said seminars and workshops would be held throughout the state to resolve NRIs' issues.
GUNTUR: Minister of sports and youth affairs K. Ravindra said the government was giving priority to resolving issues of NRIs during the inauguration of a two-day national seminar on "Migration and pre-departure orientation" at Mangalagiri on Wednesday. The seminar is being held under the joint aegis of the state government NRT Affairs & Investments and Union Foreign Affairs department at Happy Resorts in Mangalagiri.
Addressing the gathering, Mr Ravindra said nearly 25 lakh people of AP migrated to foreign countries for employment and that the CM started APNRTAI to resolve their issues. He promised of starting round-the-clock response cell for the protection of NRIs. The minister said workshops and seminars would be held throughout the state to resolve issues relating to the NRIs.
NRTAI advisor to AP government Dr P. Ravi Kumar and other experts addressed the seminar and explained the rules of various governments, with regard to migration and stay. He also briefed the gathering about the precautions to be taken with regard to migration to other countries in the world.
