Karnataka High Court quashes poll code case against DV Sadananda Gowda

BENGALURU: The High Court on Monday quashed a poll code violation case against Union Minister for Statistics and Programme Implementation D.V. Sadananda Gowda. He was accused of violating model code of conduct during the 2014 general elections. It was alleged that Gowda went beyond the permitted time on the last day of election campaign and later other charges were also invoked. He had challenged it before the high court.
Massage therapy
The HC took Mangaluru Palike to task while seeking to know on which law prevents women from massaging men. An Ayurvedic Therapy centre had approached HC after the palike revoked its permission to the centre on the grounds that women were massaging male clients.
