Hyderabad: The Telangana state hotels association and Hyderabad hotels association have expressed reservations on raids being carried out by the legal metrology and municipal staff on hotels in Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy, Warangal, Karimnagar and Mahbubnagar districts.

At an executive meeting held recently, state association chief, S. Venkat Reddy and Hyderabad panel president K. Ashok Reddy alleged that the government officials were checking prices of drinking water and cool drinks only with an intention to target them. These raids were only disturbing business and tourism. They added that they would present the issue to the Chief Minister and ministers in the coming days.
