Fake police raid: DSP, three others arrested

Bengaluru: A delivery man with a private firm lost Rs 3 lakh to a fake police raid, conducted by City Armed Reserve Police DSP and constable in Gangammanagudi police station limits.
The victim Shivakumar had gone to one Shamshuddin, a driver by profession, to invest his money. Just then the police team raided Samshuddin's house and seized the money.
Two days after the complaint was lodged, the police arrested four people identified as CAR DSP, Chikkaballapura, Nagendra Kumar, assistant Head constable Venkataraman, constable Santosh and Shamshuddin. The police are looking out for four more accused Santosh, Manju, Prasad and Shankar.
According to DCP (North) Chetan Singh Rathor, the police team and Shamshuddin worked on the instructions from a mastermind who we are looking for.
