Hyderabad: Jewellery stolen from railway employee

Hyderabad: About Rs 2.5 lakh worth gold ornaments, 30 tolas of silver ornaments, a television and silk sarees were stolen from the house of a railway employee at Bharatnagar railway quarters on Saturday night.
Complainant M. Bharathi, a resident of Bharatnagar railway quarters. had been to her daughter’s house in Motinagar on Saturday and returned home on Sunday morning, only to see the lock of her house broken.
She informed the Sanathnagar police who along with the clues teams and dog squad inspected the crime scene.
Sanathnagar inspector K. Chandra Shekar Reddy said, “Bharathi went to her daughter’s house and returned on Sunday morning. About seven tolas gold, 30 tolas of silver anklets, a 43-inch television, and some silk sarees were missing from the almirah. Based on her complaint, a case has been registered and an investigation is on.”
