YSRC trying to woo BJP leaders with MLC posts
Vellampalli Srinivas has been offered the MLC position, for which he has quit the BJP and will join the YSRC on Tuesday.
Vijayawada: The YSRC is trying to woo BJP leaders, after the saffron party was sidelined by its ruling ally TD, by offering MLC and other key positions in party.
Vellampalli Srinivas has been offered the MLC position, for which he has quit the BJP and will join the YSRC on Tuesday.
The comments made by ex-MLA Vellampalli Srini-vas during his resignation from the BJP have become a hot topic of discussion. He said the TD was dictating terms to the BJP in the state and was insulting BJP leaders by not even considering them for temple committees.
He also said TD MPs N. Siva Prasad and Rayapati Sambasiva Rao, MLA Bonda Umamaheshwara Rao and many other leaders were criticising Narendra Modi, but the BJP state leadership was not reacting to it. He mentioned that to stay back in the BJP was like giving up self-respect.
Mr Srinivas also said they were not even in a position to question the anti-democratic governance approach of the TD. The YSRC had now taken a chance of identifying such distressed leaders like Mr Srinivas and is offering positions to lure them to join their hands with YSRC.
Somu Veerraju condemned the allegations of Mr Srinivas and said, “The BJP alliance is not permanent with any other parties. Keeping in view the interest of the citizens of the country, we had to sacrifice sometimes for the good.”
MLA and TD national spokesperson Bonda Uma-maheswara Rao said as Mr Srinivas had no recognition in the BJP, the YSRC was able to take him. YSRC MLA G. Srikanth Reddy said it was known fact for everyone that the BJP is being humiliated by the TD.
“Even TD leaders are willing to join hands with us which TD and BJP will witness very soon. The current alliance of BJP and TD is just because of their political benefits,” he said.
