Hyderabad: TRS troubleshooter T. Harish Rao almost achieved Target 26 set for him by the TRS leadership to defeat strong leaders of the Congress, proving once again that he would would easily perform any task given to him.

The party provided him with a helicopter to aid his final round of campaign, the only leader apart from Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao to be so facilitated. His task was to defeat top Congress leaders in their bastions.

Among others, the TRS targeted Congress leaders Kodangal (A. Revanth Reddy), Gadwal (D.K. Aruna), Kodada (N. Padmavathi), Zaheerabad (J. Geetha Reddy), Narasampet (Donthi Madhava Reddy), Manakondur (Arepalli Mohan), Medak (Upend-er Reddy), Sangareddy (T. Jayaprakash Reddy), Nagarjunasagar (K.. Jana Reddy), Andole (Da-modar Raja Narasimha)  Wanaparthy (G. Chinna Reddy) and Makthal (K. Dayakar Reddy, TD).

Except in one or two of these constituencies, TRS candidates won where Mr Harish Rao was made incharge.

The leadership had kept Mr Harish Rao at a distance in the earlier part of the campaign, and he was not given publicity in TRS’ media organisatiosns. After realising that the people and party cadre were not happy with its decision, the party brought back Mr Harish Rao into the mainstream and assigned him the job of defeating strong Congress leaders.

Besides, Mr Harish Rao was given the charge of Chief Minister K. Chan-drasekhar Rao’s Gajwel constituency. The results on Tuesday proved that Mr Chandrasekhar Rao’s repeated praise of Mr Harish Rao was right.
