Act against cops: Raghunandan Rao to DGP
Hyderabad: BJP former MLA M. Raghunandan Rao, the party’s state unit secretary, has sought an enquiry into alleged action of the police against distribution of money to voters in the three days prior to the November 30 elections at the Dubbak Assembly constituency. He said that the police ignored the BJP’s complaints and instead booked the party activists.
In a letter to the DGP, he claimed Siddipet police commissioner N. Swetha, additional DCPs Srinivas Rao and M. Malla Reddy, and the circle inspectors of Dubbak and Thoguta and the sub-inspectors of Dubbak, Bhoompally, Mirdoddi, Doulthabad, Rayapole, Begumpet and Chegunta police stations did not take action against the distribution of money on behalf of BRS Kotha Prabhakar Reddy and local party activists.
