 Tirupati: Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Tuesday revealed that the Congress government was set to unveil a series of welfare schemes on December 28, coinciding with the formation Day of the party.

Bhatti, who is also the finance minister, made the announcement after visiting the hill temple of Lord Venkateswara in Tirumala.

Mallu, arrived at the temple accompanied by his family members. Following worship at the Dwajasthambham, he proceeded to the sanctum sanctorum to pray to the presiding deity, Lord Venkateswara.

Speaking to reporters outside the temple after the darshan, Bhatti said that that he had prayed for the prosperity and well-being of the people of both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. He highlighted that the modalities for implementing the Rythu Bharosa scheme, which would enhance the assistance to agriculturists and bring into its ambit tenant farmers, were in the final stages and would be announced shortly.

Welcoming Bhatti at the temple's entrance earlier, priests and officials from the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), led by Executive Officer A.V. Dharma Reddy, extended a warm reception. The dignitary was offered Vedasirvachanam by Vedic Pundits at the Ranganayakula mandapam following his darshan of the 'Mula Virat.' TTD EO presented Bhatti with theertha prasadams, along with the 2024 TTD calendars and diaries.
