Bengaluru: Businessman ends life over harassment by financier
Leaving behind a death note alleging harassment from a financier from whom he had borrowed money.
Bengaluru: In yet another suicide over alleged harassment from loan sharks, a 28-year-old businessman hanged himself at his house in Hulimavu on Thursday night, leaving behind a death note alleging harassment from a financier from whom he had borrowed money.
The deceased has been identified as Santhosh Kumar, a resident of Basavanapura, who was running an eatery in the locality. He hung himself to a ceiling fan when his family members were asleep. He had also penned a death note in which he named Sunil, a money lender, from whom he had borrowed money.
It is learnt that Sunil was forcing him to pay extra interest when he failed to repay the loan. He even visited his house a few days ago and seized his bike and mobile phone. Following this Santhosh slipped into depression.According to police, Santosh helped one of his friends get a loan which he could not repay due to losses.
