CBSE rules out changing date-sheet
The JEE competitive exam, which is to be held on April 8 by the CBSE was also a major point of contention by students.
Hyderabad: The hue and cry over the CBSE date-sheet by students of all the three streams, supported by teachers, has borne no fruit as CBSE officials ruled out any change in the schedule as over 12 lakh students have registered for the exams. Teachers have begun giving tips to students.
Vandana Mohan, a teacher, said, “When we contacted the board regarding the date-sheet, officials said that they cannot come up with a time-table suitable for each child who opted for subjects from different streams as they are optional. It is difficult to suit all the combinations.”
The JEE competitive exam, which is to be held on April 8 by the CBSE was also a major point of contention by students as the physical examination exams were slated for April 9.
However, the board clarified that it cannot change the schedule according to the competitive exams as they were aiming to finish the exams soon for accurate evaluation.
“We can also finish revaluation sooner and ensure that the mark lists are released on time as the delay often affects students during the admissions and the state boards release their results by May,” said a CBSE official. Schools in the city have begun revisions for subjects that have a less gap and teachers have assured parents that they will be in touch with students to ensure a stress-free exam.
