Hyderabad: Depressed with life, woman kills kid, herself
Police recovered a suicide note in which Shrujana wrote that she was not able to lead the life she dreamt of and wanted to end it.
Hyderabad: An MBA graduate and her three-year-old daughter were found hanging in their house in Dundigal in the early hours of Friday. Police suspect that Duddeda Shrujana , 30, hanged her daughter Shrija and later hanged herself. Her husband Shankar, who returned home from work, found them hanging and alerted the cops.
Police recovered a suicide note in which Shrujana wrote that she was not able to lead the life she dreamt of and wanted to end it.
Shrujana got married to Shankar who only had an intermediate qualification. While Shankar worked in a hotel in Suraram, Shrujana was a housewife. The couple and their child lived in Suraram Colony under Dundigal police station limits.
Shrujana had high ambitions and expectations in life. She wanted to work and live a comfortable life. She married Shankar due to the insistence of her family. She was not happy with the match right from the early days of marriage, and often remained depressed.
Like every day, Shankar left for work on Thursday and returned past midnight. When he entered the house, he found his wife and daughter hanging by a sari tied to the ceiling.
A complaint of suspicious death was filed by Shrujana’s father Narsimhulu. The bodies were handed over to the family after an autopsy.
