Bengaluru: BDA to fast track its residential projects
The residential complex constructed in Phase 1 by the BDA at Doddabanahalli is the tallest to be built by a government agency.
Bengaluru: With demand for two and three bedroom flats rising in the city, the Bengaluru Development Authority (BDA) plans to fast track and complete its housing projects as quickly as possible, according to its Engineer Officer, N. G. Gowdaiah .
Speaking to reporters after inspecting the residential apartments the authority has built in different parts of the city on Friday, Mr. Gowdaiah said the flats being constructed in Phase 2 of the Doddabanahalli project would be completed and ready for occupation with all the neccessary facilities by the year end.
The residential complex constructed in Phase 1 by the BDA at Doddabanahalli is the tallest to be built by a government agency, boasting of 20 floors, two levels of parking and civic amenities to meet the people’s requirements.
It has 648 flats in all. Of them the 144 three BHK flats had already been allotted and of the 504 two BHK flats, 469 had been allotted, he revealed.
The complex has provision for Rain Water Harvesting (RWH), a waste treatment plant, parks and a setback area for movement of fire tenders and other emergency services. Each flat has fire dousing hose pipes, according to the officer.
The BDA’s residential complex at Alur has 906 one BHK flats and work has begun on construction of two and three BHK flats. A three-storied commercial complex adjoining the flats has been built near Valagerahalli.
It had commercial space of different dimensions, which would be allotted through auctioning, he explained.
