Hyderabad: Residents of PBEL City complain of shoddy maintenance
The residents complained that the builder ignores issues raised by them despite life-threatening incidents.
Hyderabad: The residents of PBEL City, a gated community, have come down heavily on the builders of the complex and called the company a cheat. It’s as if the tragic death of a six-year-old boy who was electrocuted in the garden of the complex has opened the floodgates of complaints.
The residents complain of shoddy civic work, lapse of security and even alleged the builders had cheated the residents of parkland, though each of them had paid Rs 1 crore for their flats.
Ms Pradeep, a resident, said, “We pay Rs 6,000 per month as maintenance. There is an open iron pillar with hanging wires, there is no covering for the power wires. Some time back there was a minor fire. A police complaint was filed against the bad architecture and maintenance. But since it was a civic issue, the cops asked the builder and the owners to sort it out.”
The owners association of PBEL City alleged that the builder is grabbing the parkland. Ms Geetha, member of the association, said, “A park belongs to the PBEL City old flats, but the builder is showing the same parkland to sell the new flats in a different venture. He is a cheat. The builder and the maintenance staff should be booked. They are totally incapable of handling the gated community.”
The residents complained that the builder ignores issues raised by them despite life-threatening incidents.
