VIJAYAWADA: Decks have been cleared to appoint BJP general secretary Ram Madhav, who is considered as a troubleshooter, as the party in-charge of AP.
Appointing Mr Madhav in the post, at a crucial time in Andhra Pradesh, when the rift between allies BJP and TD has widened, assumed significance. Until now, he was successful in all the assi-gnments given to him by the BJP leadership.
He was successful in forging alliances, storming the party to power in Jammu & Kashmir, and North-East as he was the party in-charge. It shows that finally the BJP Central leadership is considering AP affairs seriously and working towards tangible results. Mr Madhav was supposed to be sent to down south by the party Central leadership a year ago itself but due to reasons unknown, the appointment has been delayed. BJP headquarters felt that the party’s AP leaders need a clear direction at this juncture to strengthen the party in the state.
