Cops foil fast, protest plan of Chevella MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy

Hyderabad: One-day fast attempt by Chevella MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy was foiled by the Vikarabad police on Tuesday at Vikarabad.

The MP has planned to hold a day-long protest against the failure of the state government in providing irrigation water to the erstwhile combined Ranga Reddy districts through Pranahita-Chevella Lift Irrigation project.

When the Congress MP along with other ministers tried to protest at a private place in Vikarabad town, police personnel arrived at the spot and took the protesters into custody.
