Unnao rape case: Asaduddin Owaisi fires another salvo
Her father was arrested for allegedly possessing a firearm, but died under suspicious circumstances.
Hyderabad: AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi fired another salvo at the Uttar Pradesh state administration on the ‘Unnao rape case’. Talking to the micro-blogging site twitter, Mr Owaisi recalled the observation of the Dharam Veer Commission that stated, “Police in India are organised to enforce policy rather than law. This is especially true when the victims are Dalits and Muslims,” he tweeted.
An 18 year-old- girl was raped, allegedly by Unnao MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar in June 2017 at his house. The girl had left for Delhi after the incident and returned this month to Unnao.
Her father was arrested for allegedly possessing a firearm, but died under suspicious circumstances four days ago while in judicial custody.
