Oust KTR for granting illegal permissions, Revanth to KCR
Hyderabad: Stating that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao may not be aware of his son and MA&UD minister K.T. Rama Rao’s ‘shady deals’, PCC chief A Revanth Reddy demanded that he be dismissed from the cabinet.
Speaking to media persons here on Thursday part of a series of ‘exposures’ against BRS government’s alleged ‘lands scams’, the Congress leader while stating that the eco-sensitive KBR park had fallen prey to land sharks with the active involvement of Rama Rao, demanded stopping of the construction of the major project undertaken by Mantri Mansions Pvt Ltd (MMPL), at Jubilee Hills checkpost.
Reddy said that permission for a 5-star hotel of not more than 3-floors was given in 2006 for a consortium., Jubilee Hills Landmark Projects Private Limited (JHLPL) to undertake development on the property, costing Rs 336 crore. Five years later, JHLPL entered into a development agreement with MMPL.
When TRS came to power a new company, RNR Developers entered the joint venture. “This company is owned by Veeravenkata Rama Rao, a close associate of B. Ramalingaraju. This is how the IT minister provided a chance to Ramalingaraju to invest in a project and make money. He urged the Jubilee Hills Walkers Association to file a PIL against the massive ‘illegal construction’ project that was killing the major lung space.
