Chennai: Plus-2 boy killed in road mishap

The boy fell on the road and the lorry ran over him, police said.

Chennai: A 17-year-old boy who had just passed the Plus-2 exam with 887 marks, died when the bike he was riding hit a median and he fell under a lorry in Royapuram on Friday evening.

The deceased was identified as U.Amjad Khan, a resident of Korukkupet. He and his friend Anwar Basha were travelling on bike to Burma Bazaar when he lost control and the mishap happened, the police said.

They were overtaking a lorry on the right side when the rider lost control and hit the median. The boy fell on the road and the lorry ran over him, police said.
