BJP demands action in attack on Amit Shah's convoy

Kurnool: BJP state vice president K Kapileswaraiah demanded serious action against Alipiri attackers on BJP national president Amit Shah's convoy at Tirupati.
He accused the state ruling TD men for creating violence as they turned to behave as street rowdies, The BJP workers held protest against the attack on Saturday.
The agitators held rally from Rajvihar circle to Collectorate where they burnt the effigy of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. The BJP state leader alleged that there is no law and order in the state.
THe claimed that TD workers have been resorting to rowdy behavior and creating trouble at every BJP's programs for the past few days. The CM directed his party workers to attack on Amit Shah's convoy, he criticised.
Meanwhile, the BJP workers rised slogans against the party like “TD down”, “CM down”.
Party district general secretary Subba Reddy, senior leaders K Narsimha Varma, Ranga swami and others participated in the protest.
Meanwhile, TD MLA Sugunasamma, in the aftermath of the Amit Shah incident, on Saturday staged a protest at the Alipiri police station demanding the release of the person who taken into custody by police on Friday. The TD leaders waited at the police station throughout the night on Friday but the police failed to free him but produced the man in front of a magistrate on Saturday.
Speaking to media persons, Mr M. Sugunamma said, "Our activists protested in a democratic manner but one of the BJP leader's car tried to intimidate the TD activists by giving a scare, so our activist broke the glass of the car. Later the BJP leader also punched our activists. Most of our leaders have been hospitalised. The police took action based on the complaint by BJP leaders. We demand our complaints also be considered".
Meanwhile, BJP leaders staged a protest demanding the chief minister to tender apology and the home minister to quit, by taking responsibility of the incident.
Speaking to media persons, BJP leader Bhanu Prakash Reddy said, "The Chief Minister says to take action, while MLA protests here to release the accused from police stations. This shows how TD is playing the drama. Chandrababu's 40 years experience helped to fabricate the facts. To attack Amit Shah, the sketch was done in Amaravati and implemented in Tirupati".
