Hyderabad: Ravi Prakash again skips questioning
The police had earlier served him a notice under Section 160 CrPC according to which, he was asked to appear for questioning on Friday.
Hyderabad: Contrary to the directions issued by the Cyberabad cyber crime police on Saturday, Associated Broadcasting Company Pvt Ltd’s former chief executive officer V. Ravi Prakash, who has cases booked against him for forgery, cheating, and criminal conspiracy, failed to present himself before investigating officials for questioning on Sunday.
The Cyberabad cyber crime police on Saturday issued a notice to Mr Prakash directing him to appear before the investigating officials on Sunday and share his statements in connection with the cases registered against him and the others based on the complaints lodged by Mr P. Koushik Rao, director of Alanda Media and Entertainments Pvt Ltd.
The police had earlier served him a notice under Section 160 CrPC according to which, he was asked to appear for questioning on Friday.
However, he dishonoured that notice as well. Consequently, the police is planning to serve a last notice to him on Monday failing which, they will approach the court to take necessary action.
Meanwhile, ABCPL’s former chief financial officer M.K.V.N. Murthy appeared for questioning on day three. The police apparently questioned him regarding the alleged forgery of the company secretary Devender Agarwal’s signature to attest his resignation. It is learned that the police have recorded the statements of three employees of the company in connection with the case.
“Mr Prakash did not attend the questioning on Sunday. Notices would be served to him on Monday under Section 160 of CrPC to attend before the investigating officer to record his statement,” a senior police officer told Deccan Chronicle.
