Telangana: UG students raise plaint on DOST
The Telangana State Council of Higher Education has called for a meeting on Tuesday to discuss all these issues.
Hyderabad: Degree college managements and the aspirants of degree courses alleged that they are facing many issues due to DOST, the web portal for registering to under graduate courses, because the roster system of DOST is not being properly maintained and students selected in the Phase-1 are not being allowed sliding.
They have demanded for sliding option as well. The college managements also alleged that seats in government colleges have been increased without proper norms and students: teacher ratio.
The Telangana State Council of Higher Education has called for a meeting on Tuesday to discuss all these issues.
The members of the college management held a protest in this regard on Tuesday.
Telangana Private Degree College Management General Secretary T. Vijay Bhasker Reddy said, “In the original schedule of DOST-2018, announced by the convener of DOST, students who had been allotted seats in the first phase of counselling were supposed to exercise sliding option from June 5 to June 14, 2018.”
