Bengaluru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah held a meeting with Medical Education Minister Dr Sharan Prakash Patil and the District administrator of Ramanagara and other officials on Wednesday to discuss the proposed Health City in Ramanagara.

He urged the officials to expedite the process for the construction of Rajiv Gandhi Arogya Nagar at Archakarahalli in Ramanagara.

The CM would lay the foundation stone for Health City on the first week of August. He met with the finance department, PWD, Medical Education Minsiter and District Administrator of Ramnagar. He also asked authorities to expedite the legal process regarding the land allotment.

Of the total 16 buildings to be constructed, 10 are facing legal issues as the farmers are fighting for higher compensation. The 'Health City' would include a specialty hospital, nursing college, pharmacy, dental college along with hostels and staff quarters.
