Krishna district has emerged as first in all development parameters within two months.
Vijayawada: Krishna district has emerged as first in all development parameters within two months. Earlier, the district was in the 13th rank in various parameters like credit limit, disbursement, NTRB pensions, gross district domestic product (GDDP) and in revenue department status. But, the recent statistics prepared by the state government have reve-aled that Krishna district has secured first rank.
While its GDDP is Rs 65,973 crore, the per capita income of Kris-hna district is Rs 1,25,128, followed by Visakhapat-nam district with Rs 1,14, 326 as per capita income. “This has become possible within two mon-ths,” said district collector B. Lakshmikantham, who directed the revenue administration to function in a proactive way to achieve these targets. By bringing a balance within the productivity and prices of various agricultural and industrial products, Krishna district revenue administration could make it possible, Mr Lakshmi-kantham said.
Kurnool, Srikakulam and Vizianagarm districts secured the 11th, 12th and 13th ranks respectively in GDP. In Mee Seva operations also, Krishna district was able to secure the first rank by having only 74 applications pending beyond service level agreement (SLA), followed by West Godavari district with 100 applications pending beyond SLA. The SLA is a time-bou-nd service programme where certain time is needed for issuing specific certificates. The district collector’s priority towards service sector has prompted Mee Seva operations to become faster than earlier.
Similarly, regarding the civil supplies department also, Krishna district secured first rank by addressing ration card grievances like additions in the family and also transfers from one place to another. With only 16 applications pending beyond SLA, Krishna district stood first followed by West Godavari with 21 pending beyond SLA. Kurnool and Visakhapa-tnam districts have the highest number of pending applications of 5,345 and 7,232 respectively beyond the SLA in civil supplies discipline, according to the statistics.
By clearing every file in field line (F-line) surveys, Krishna district secured first position and is having 273 and 502 applications pending beyond SLA, Kurnool and Guntur districts stood in the last places respectively. In the issuance of district-wise mutation and title-deed and passbook status also, with just seven applications pending beyond SLA, Krishna district secured first rank. In disciplines like land conversion, issua-nce of integrated certificates and survey settlement land records (SSLR) also, Krishna district has scored over the other districts.
