During the past 24 hours, the monsoon remained vigorous over many parts of Telangana state, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Gujarat.
Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu recorded light to moderate rain with a few heavy spells.
There was a slight change in the rain pattern from recent years. While the monsoons in 2017 and 2016 mostly rendered flash rain heavy to very heavy spells in a short duration the rainfall this month has been mostly a prolonged drizzle.
The average rainfall recorded in Hyderabad in 24 hours till 8.30 am on Thursday was about 3 cm.
City witnessed patchy rain and drizzles throughout Thursday.
The forecast for the city was generally cloudy sky with a few spells of rain or thundershowers. The temperature is are likely to be around 27ºC maximum and 22ºC minumum.
